You can pay your bill at City Hall, 33 North Public Square from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Water maintenance regular hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Summer Hours (June - August): 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Any service call after regular hours will not be taken care of until the next business day.
We do not open accounts over the phone. Picture identification in person is required to open accounts at City Hall.
Yes! The city accepts both credit and debit cards. You can come in to City Hall to have your bill charged to your credit/debit card.
The City also accepts payments online at www.kville.org
Yes! There is a drop box located behind City Hall on the North side of the Public Square.
Yes, stop by City Hall to fill out an ACH payment application for automatic bill payment.
Call the Water Department at (309) 289-2512 during business hours to report a leak. For after-hours emergencies, call the Police Department at (309) 343-9151 and they will contact the on-call water personnel.
The homeowner is responsible for the entire water service line to connection at the main.

✅ Opening a New Water Account
📋 Requirements:
• Picture ID (Illinois Driver's License preferred)
• $50.00 non-refundable set-up fee (payable at sign up, non-transferable to next owner, separate from deposit)
• $100.00 minimum security deposit (property owners)
• $150.00 minimum security deposit (renters)
Note: Security deposit is refundable when you close your account, provided there is no outstanding balance.
❌ Closing Your Water Account
📋 Required Information:
• Notice as soon as possible before closing date
• Forwarding address for final bill and deposit refund
• Final meter reading will be taken on the requested date
Important: Failure to close your account properly may result in continued billing for services at the address.
